Naazir Jackson

Firefighter Jackson is a dedicated public servant, nonprofit leader, and lifelong advocate for the Newark community. Now in his 12th year with the Newark Fire Department, he is known for his integrity, courage, and unwavering commitment to service.
He serves as Vice President of the Newark Firefighters Foundation and 2nd Vice President of the Newark Firefighters Union, where he champions firefighter safety, wellness, and access to critical resources for first responders and their families.
Beyond the fire service, he is the Founder of Rising Stars Sports & Dance Academy, providing affordable sports, dance, and mentoring programs that empower Newark youth. He also serves as Executive Director of J’s House, a supportive housing facility offering safe, stable housing and compassionate care to adults experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges.
Across every role, his mission remains the same: to lead with heart, uplift others, and strengthen the community he proudly serves.
