Christopher Caceres

Firefighter Caceres is a lifelong resident of the City of Newark and is entering his 11th year of service with the Newark Fire Department. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning from Rutgers University and a Masters in Construction Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. In 2025, he completed a certificate program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government focused on organizational structure and management for emerging leaders in local and state government.
Prior to joining the Newark Fire Department, he served the City of Newark for more than six years in the Building Department and City Planning Department, where he gained extensive experience in municipal operations, development, and public service. He is honored to serve on the Newark Firefighter Foundation Advisory Board and is committed to advancing the Foundation’s mission, strengthening organizational culture, and supporting meaningful outcomes for members and the Newark community.
